What a woman chooses to do with her body hair has become such a contentious issue on here, so I thought I’d put my tuppence in because the discussion often leaves me completely vexed.
As a proud feminist, I have absolutely no problem with women doing whatever they like in terms of grooming - I am not going to entertain the argument that women only modify their body hair because of constructed social norms or whatever, because that tends to be a completely circular argument.
What does entirely grind my gears, though, is the amount of women on here who either get rid of it all or keep it proudly, who espouse the same argument: “I’m doing to for myself because I like it that way.” So far, so right. But both camps seem to go on, when asked what they prefer; ‘I haven’t been bothered to sort it out, I don’t have a boyfriend/I am not having sex’.
There we go, ladies and gentlemen, definitive proof that said women are not doing it for themselves, they just ‘cannot be bothered’ to do what men want them to, because there is no man on the scene at that time.
