• GO TO BARBADOS (so that’s tomorrow, but ohmygod. So much excitement)

Exhaustion is kicking in… Still, my essay plan is now 2,358 words long and the essay is only 3,000. I just need to sort out three ‘narratives’ on the 1882 Egyptian crisis, French imperialism in Senegal during the 1870s, and the events of the two Boer wars, the Jameson raid and British-Afrikaner relationships. I’ve done the tough bit (analyses) but condensing such huge events into 100 or so words each is gunna be difficult.

• ‘change from slave -> legitimate trade = top notch’

Also, has anybody used a disposable underwater camera? My Christmas present from my parents was for my lover and I to swim with turtles whilst we are there! I know you can get a waterproof case my canon, but I’ve left it waaay too late to order one… So yeh, underwater disposables, a yay or nay?

With this essay and work and my internship, it’s hard to imagine that I will be here in just four days. I cannot believe it has come around so quickly, but yeh I’m off to Barbados on Tuesday night. Oh boy.
